Neuroblastoma is a form of cancer that originates from immature nerve cells located in various parts of the body. This type of cancer typically emerges in the vicinity of the adrenal glands, which share a similar origin with nerve cells and are positioned atop the kidneys. However, neuroblastoma can also manifest in other regions of the abdomen, as well as in the chest, neck, and near the spine, where clusters of nerve cells are present.Neuroblastoma predominantly affects children aged 5 or younger, although there are rare instances of its occurrence in older children.
